At a glance: We use Google Analytics to understand site usage, embed a video from Vimeo on the homepage, and offer an AI-powered chatbot. We do not sell your data, run ad-retargeting pixels, or use session-recording tools. Analytics and video are off by default until you accept them via our consent banner. To opt out at any time, see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information below.
Ranfac Corporation ("Ranfac," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website ranfac.com (the "Site") or engage with our services.
Information you provide voluntarily: When you complete a contact form, request a quote, apply for a position, use our chat widget, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically: When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and other diagnostic data. Automated analytics collection only occurs after you accept our cookie banner.
We use the following third-party services on this Site. Most are gated behind explicit consent — they do not load or set cookies until you click "Accept All" in our cookie banner. Browsers sending the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal are automatically treated as opted out.
Property ID: G-QS4WMJX6WP. Used on: All pages. Loads only after consent.
What it does: Counts visits, tracks which pages are viewed, measures session duration, identifies referring sites, and groups behavior into aggregated reports.
What it shares with Google: Anonymized IP address, browser and device characteristics, page URL, referrer URL, on-page events. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with default-denied storage and IP anonymization enabled.
Cookies set after consent: _ga (~2 years), _ga_QS4WMJX6WP (~2 years).
How to opt out: (1) Click "Reject Non-Essential" in our cookie banner; (2) install Google's browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; (3) use a browser that sends Global Privacy Control; (4) clear the ranfac_consent key in your browser's local storage and choose "Reject" when re-prompted.
Used on: Homepage only (embedded company video). Loads only after you click play.
What it does: Hosts and streams the Ranfac corporate video. We use click-to-play — Vimeo receives no request from your browser until you click the play button on the video placeholder. The embed is configured with Vimeo's Do-Not-Track flag (?dnt=1) as defense-in-depth.
What it shares with Vimeo (once playback starts): IP address, browser/device info, page URL, video view events.
Cookies set after playback starts: vuid and other Vimeo cookies. See Vimeo's privacy policy at vimeo.com/privacy.
How to opt out: Don't click the video play button. If you have rejected non-essential cookies, the video placeholder will show a disabled state and never load Vimeo's domain.
Used on: Contact page only (/contact/) for the quote/inquiry form.
What it does: Hosts the embedded contact form and stores submissions in our Microsoft 365 workspace.
What it shares with Microsoft: IP address, browser fingerprint, and (on submission) the content of the form fields you complete. Microsoft sets telemetry cookies (e.g., MSFPC) when the form iframe loads.
How to opt out: Don't visit /contact/, or email us directly at info@ranfac.com instead of submitting the embedded form.
Used on: All pages (the chat icon in the bottom-right corner). The widget loads but does not send any data unless you open it and type a message.
What it does: Provides an AI-powered chat assistant that can answer questions about Ranfac's manufacturing capabilities and connect you with our team. The assistant is generated by a third-party large language model (LLM). Conversation content is processed by that LLM provider to generate responses.
What it collects (only after you send a message): the full text of your conversation; an anonymous session UUID stored in your browser's sessionStorage (not a cookie; cleared when you close the tab); the URL of the page you are on; and, if you submit them, your name, email, and phone number.
Where it goes: Conversation content is sent to Ranfac's chatbot service and to the underlying LLM provider for processing. Ranfac retains conversation logs to improve service quality and to enable our team to follow up if you escalate. Conversation contents may be reviewed by Ranfac staff for quality assurance.
How to opt out: Don't open the chat widget. Do not type messages into it. If you have started a chat and want your session logs deleted, email info@ranfac.com with the subject "Delete my chatbot session" (we'll need the approximate date and any contact info you provided).
We use Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) to render typography. Font requests share your IP address with Google. We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, session-replay tools (e.g., Hotjar, FullStory), or social-media tracking pixels (e.g., Meta/Facebook, LinkedIn Insight).
We use the information we collect to: respond to your inquiries and provide customer support; evaluate potential business partnerships and manufacturing programs; process job applications; improve our website and services; send relevant communications about our capabilities (with your consent); comply with legal obligations; and protect against fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
We do not sell or rent your personal information for monetary consideration. We share information with the third-party service providers listed in Section 3 (Google, Vimeo, Microsoft, and our chatbot LLM provider) as needed to operate the Site. We may also disclose information when required by law, in connection with a corporate transaction (such as a merger or asset sale), or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers or others.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information; opt out of marketing communications; opt out of analytics tracking; opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (see Section 8); and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@ranfac.com with the subject "Privacy Request."
For tracker-specific opt-outs, see the "How to opt out" notes in Section 3. To revoke previously-granted analytics consent at any time, open your browser's developer tools, run localStorage.removeItem('ranfac_consent') and reload — our banner will re-prompt you.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
How to exercise: Email info@ranfac.com with the subject "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity through the email address associated with any prior contact or, for anonymous requests, by asking follow-up questions tied to your interaction with the Site. We do not charge a fee for verified requests.
Ranfac does not sell personal information for monetary consideration, and does not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising (the CPRA-defined form of "sharing"). However, our use of Google Analytics may be considered "sharing" under broad interpretations of California law because data flows to Google LLC. We provide the following opt-out mechanisms:
Option 1 — Cookie banner. Click "Reject Non-Essential" in the consent banner shown on your first visit. Your choice is stored locally in your browser and applied to all future visits from that browser/device.
Option 2 — Global Privacy Control (GPC). Browsers and extensions that send the GPC signal (e.g., Brave, DuckDuckGo browser, Privacy Badger, the Global Privacy Control extension) are automatically treated as opted out. We honor GPC for all visitors, not only California residents.
Option 3 — Email request. Email info@ranfac.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share." Include the email address you wish to associate with the opt-out. We will respond within 15 business days.
Authorized agents. California residents may use an authorized agent to submit a request on their behalf. The agent must provide written authorization signed by the consumer and proof of identity for the agent.
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, including our subsidiary Cervos Medical (cervos.com), our social-media profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), and job-application platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
Our Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes that affect previously-collected information will be communicated by email to known contacts where reasonable.
